Espace Equestre Henson-Marquenterre
Its true “raison d’être” is meant to be the epitome of the Henson adventure. Therefore, we only host Henson horses there, whether or not born on our premises, but duly registered in the official Henson stud-book.
They live the “genuine life of the Henson horses”! That is to say, all-year-long stay in pastures or winter parks, according the seasons and based upon “affinities”. This explains their calmness and good health, thanks to their natural environment and their comfort within an animal hierarchy.
All horses are on working livery, but their owners have, of course, a booking priority, provided they make their reservation in advance (24-hour notice).
Last but not least, the true gift! : Owners having their horses staying at the “Espace Equesre Henson-Marquenterre” have free access to miles and miles of trails within the “Domaine du Marquenterre”, a 2500-acres private estate, made of forested dunes and wetlands, itself adjacent to the bird sanctuary of the “Parc du Marquenterre” and next to the natural reserve of the Bay of the Somme. This represents a unique opportunity to enjoy horse-back riding in a preserved area, large of over 12,500 acres (under certain conditions regarding riding in the natural reserve), with no equivalent on the coast line of Northern France).

It is a true hotel for “guest-horses”, while keeping the friendly atmosphere of a membership club for the long-stay boarding services.
Further to the classic Field Board for Henson horses, like at the Marquenterre, we are offering here quality facilities and services to welcome all other horses. Stalls, paddocks, private saddlery, indoor and outdoor arenas, immediate access to the Bay of the Authie, everything here has been designed to combine typical equestrian activities with the opportunity to go outdoor riding in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
For the outside guests and their horses, it is probably the most attractive short-stay solution along the coast of Northern France. For them, we also offer the possibility to hire from us an equestrian guide, who will allow them to safely discover the richness of our natural environment. This service is provided under the following rates:
- Discovery ride : 30€ per rider
- Discovery day ride : 50€ per rider
