Being by far the most important Henson stud farm, we enjoy a very large choice of horses, all with full pedigree. We give birth to around 40 foals per year and our groups of 3 years old horses, fully broken, reach every year around 30 individuals.
A 3 years old Henson horse represents an affordable investment, set in the average prices for pure breed horses. This investment is all the more competitive that the maintenance cost of a Henson horse, living outdoor all year long, is much cheaper than the one of a horse kept in stables. Prices vary with the sex (female have a price a little higher) and the level of breaking.
We sell horses as of the weaning (6 months old). 3 years old horses, broken and mounted, have worked one season of outdoor riding. 4 years old horses have worked 2 seasons of outdoor riding.

Would you want to care by yourself of the breaking of your horse, the Henson Outdoor Riding Centres offer for sale foals, from weaning at 6 months old up to 2 years old.
One must note though that horse breaking requires a significant experience and expertise and that a breaking not done in the right conditions could lead to serious problems, difficult to be solved afterwards.
Obviously, the price of a foal is less than the one of a grown-up horse, but notwithstanding the the assistance and advice that we may provide you with, we must insist on the criticality of an effective breaking stage, respectful of the young horse.
For those who do not feel able to take care of the breaking by themselves, we primarily offer for sale 3 and 4 years old horses.
During 2 years, those horses would have first developed their natural qualities within their groups of age.
Following these 2 years of growth, all the expertise of our staff is then mobilized to teach to your future horse all basics of a working and leisure horse and especially the notions of respect and safety indispensable to its interaction with man.
Thus, your horse will be, on the one hand able to allow riding, ready to take you safely outdoor and, on the other hand and should you wish it, able to enter in the equestrian discipline of your choice in which you will be able to allow him to make continuing progress.
We must remind though that a 3 or 4 years old horse, as a young horse, has still a lot to learn ! This represents a wonderful opportunity for you and him (or her) to progress together for a very long time.
The price of a 3 or 4 years old horse is obviously higher than the one of a foal, but remain fairly reasonable, taking into account the quality work done with him (or her) at the breaking stage.
Should a 3 or 4 years old horse appear to you too young, though we do not have many older horses for sale, we will do our best efforts to present you more mature horses, should they be avalaible.
Last, the Henson Outdoor Riding Centres may offer you on demand carriage- trained horses. physically and mentally fit to this specialty practice.
Being given the specific breaking and training work that it implies, this type of transaction would require from you a prerequisite booking and commitment.
