Terms & Conditions

  • Article 1 Purpose

The following general terms and conditions of sale detail the rights and obligations of SARL Henson and its customers with regard to:
The sale of goods: wool, yarn, textile creations, accessories, and equestrian equipment (saddles, bridles, saddle pads, and other equipment).
The sale of equines: horses from the Henson stud farm.
The provision of services: equestrian activities, rides, treks, training courses, lessons, and equestrian tourism.
Any order for a product, purchase of a horse, or booking of a service made through SARL Henson implies the buyer’s unreserved acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale.

  • Article 2 Presentation of products and services

The characteristics of the products offered for sale (textiles, equestrian equipment, horse descriptions) as well as the services offered (duration, required skill level for rides) are presented in the relevant section of our website.
Photographs are not contractually binding. SARL Henson cannot be held liable for any errors that may appear in them. All texts and images presented on the SARL Henson website are protected worldwide by copyright and intellectual property rights; their reproduction, even partial, is strictly prohibited.

  • Article 3 Validity period of offers and availability

For goods (textiles, wool, equestrian equipment): Products are offered for sale while supplies last. If an ordered product becomes unavailable, the customer will be informed of this as soon as possible by email or postal mail.
For horses: Offers for the sale of equines depend on the availability of our breeding stock and remain valid until a firm reservation has been made for the horse.
For equestrian services: Reservations for rides and lessons are subject to availability of places and horses for the chosen time slot.

  • Article 4 Price of products and services

Our online store and booking section display prices in euros, inclusive of all taxes (VAT applicable depending on the nature of the product or service), excluding shipping and delivery charges. The VAT amount is specified when the customer selects a product or activity, and any applicable shipping costs appear on the screen at the end of the selection process.
SARL Henson reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, but products and services ordered are billed at the price in effect when the order is placed.
The prices offered include any discounts or rebates that SARL Henson may grant based on its performance or the buyer’s assumption of certain responsibilities. No discount will be given for early payment.

  • Article 5 Ordering and Reservation

The customer validates their order or reservation by clicking the “Validate Order” link (or equivalent) at the bottom of the “Order Summary” page after accepting these terms and conditions. Before this validation, the customer is always given the opportunity to check each element of their order (choice of ride, declared riding level, clothing or equipment items); this allows them to correct any errors.
SARL Henson confirms the order or reservation by email; this confirmation includes all order details and a summary of the customer’s rights.
The data recorded by SARL Henson constitutes proof of the nature, content, and date of the order. This data is archived by SARL Henson in accordance with legal requirements and timeframes; the customer can access this archive by contacting Customer Service via the contact form.

  • Article 6 Payment Terms

Orders and reservations are paid for by credit card. When placing an order or making a reservation online, the buyer must pay the full amount due.
Specific note: For horse sales contracts or customized group services (seminars), payment plans or a specific deposit may be agreed upon in a written quote.

  • Article 7 Right of withdrawal

7.1. For goods (wool, textiles, equestrian equipment)
The Buyer has a period of fourteen clear days from the date of receipt of the products to exercise their right of withdrawal without having to provide any justification or pay any penalties, with the exception, where applicable, of return shipping costs. If the fourteen-day period expires on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, it is extended until the next working day.
In the event of exercising the right of withdrawal, the company will reimburse the Buyer for all sums paid as soon as possible and at the latest within fourteen days of the date on which this right was exercised.

7.2. For equestrian services (rides, lessons, treks)
In accordance with the law applicable to leisure activities provided on a specific date, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply. However, Henson SARL offers the following cancellation policy:
Cancellation by the customer: If the customer cancels their reservation, they may request a refund or reschedule up to 48 hours before the start of the activity. After this 48-hour period, the full amount of the reservation remains due and no refund will be issued.
Cancellation by the establishment (Weather): Services are provided in all weather conditions. However, the Equestrian Center reserves the right to cancel or postpone a ride in the event of weather conditions deemed dangerous or compromising the safety of horseback riding. In this case, a full refund or rescheduling will be offered.
Technical impossibility: The Equestrian Center reserves the right to cancel the service in the event of circumstances beyond its control (unavailability of an instructor, injury or illness of a horse). In this case, the client will be offered a rescheduling or a full refund.
Late arrivals: Clients are required to arrive at the agreed time. In the event of a delay exceeding 15 minutes, the service cannot be maintained. For organizational and safety reasons, the ride will begin without the late participants, and no refund will be given.

  • Article 8 Safety conditions and suitability (Equestrian services)

Mandatory equipment: Wearing an approved riding helmet is mandatory for all participants for the entire duration of the activity, without exception.
Riding level: Participants must have the required riding level for the booked activity. The Equestrian Center reserves the right to refuse participation or adapt the activity if the rider’s level on site does not match the level declared at the time of registration, without any refund being issued.
Safety instructions: Participants agree to strictly adhere to the safety instructions and guidelines given by the guide or instructor throughout the activity.
Exclusion: Any behavior that endangers the participant, other riders, the public, or the horses may result in immediate exclusion from the activity, without any refund.

  • Article 9 Late payment (clause applicable to professionals)

In the event of total or partial non-payment for goods delivered or services performed on the date of receipt, the professional buyer must pay SARL Henson a late payment penalty equal to one and a half times the legal interest rate.
The applicable legal interest rate is that in effect on the date of delivery of the goods or performance of the service.

This penalty is calculated on the pre-tax amount of the sum remaining due, and runs from the price due date without any prior formal notice being required.

In accordance with Articles L. 441-10 and D. 441-5 of the French Commercial Code, any late payment automatically entails, in addition to late payment penalties, an obligation for the professional debtor to pay a fixed compensation of €40 for recovery costs. Additional compensation may be claimed, upon presentation of supporting documents, when the recovery costs incurred exceed the amount of the fixed compensation.

  • Article 10 Delivery (concerns the sale of goods and equestrian equipment)

All products are delivered without any guarantee regarding delivery times, except for deliveries to private individuals. The delivery deadline varies depending on the address. For an address in mainland France, it is set at the date of payment + 8 days, and for other destinations, at the date of payment + 1 month.

Note regarding the delivery of equines: The conditions and costs of transporting a purchased horse are subject to a separate agreement or sales contract between the breeder and the buyer.

  • Article 11 Insurance

SARL Henson is regularly insured under its Professional Civil Liability (RCP) covering all of its activities and participants, in accordance with the regulations in force.

Participants are simply reminded of the importance of having personal liability insurance (usually included in home insurance) to cover damage they may cause to themselves or to third parties through their own actions during the activity.

  • Article 12 Customer Relations – After-Sales Service

For any information, questions or complaints, the customer can contact the Customer Relations department of SARL Henson via our contact form.
